World Students Day 2022 : Remembering A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

Pratham SharmaOctober 15, 2022October 15, 2022

World Students Day 2022: October 15th is World Students Day, a day to remember A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India. He was a man who dedicated his life to public service and Education for All. In this blog post, we will explore A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s life and legacy, as well as how World Students Day came to be. We’ll also talk about what the day means for students around the world and how you can get involved.

A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was an Indian scientist who served as the 11th President of India, from 2002 to 2007. He was born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, and studied physics and aerospace engineering. He spent the next four decades as a scientist and science administrator, mainly at the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

He thus came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. He also played a pivotal organizational, technical, and political role in India’s Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998, making him a contentious figure for the country’s opponents of nuclear proliferation. Later he saw himself as an instrument of peace and became involved in socio-political matters.

He died on 27 July 2015 after suffering a cardiac arrest while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India, was a great inspiration to students all over the world. He was a man of science and had a great love for learning. In his honor, the United Nations has declared October 15th as World Students Day.

This day is an opportunity for students to come together and celebrate their love of learning. It is also a time to remember Dr. Kalam and his contributions to education. On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to provide quality education for all.

World Students Day is about more than just celebrating Dr. Kalam’s life – it is about promoting education for all students around the globe. Let us use this day to pledge our support for education and make sure that every child has access to quality schooling.

Each year on October 15, World Students’ Day is celebrated as a way to commemorate the life and work of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Dr. Kalam was an Indian scientist and politician who served as the 11th President of India from 2002-2007. He was known as the “People’s President” for his down-to-earth personality and his commitment to the development of India’s youth.

In 2010, the United Nations declared October 15 as World Students’ Day in honor of Dr. Kalam’s work in promoting education and science around the world. On this day, various events are held to encourage young people to pursue their dreams and fulfill their potential.

So why is World Students’ Day celebrated on October 15th? It is because it is the birthday of one of the most inspirational leaders of our time – A.P.J Abdul Kalam!

Some of the ways in which we can remember A. P. J. Abdul Kalam include:

– Taking inspiration from his life and work, and striving to make a difference in the world ourselves
– Spreading his message of peace, love, and unity
– Sharing our own memories and stories about him with others
– Promoting his vision of a prosperous and inclusive India
– Supporting initiatives that are working to realize his dreams for the country

It is a day to remember the great contributions of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and his vision for a better world. We should all strive to make his vision a reality by working hard and being responsible citizens of the world. Thank you.
