Share Market News- The National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India saw an increase of 0.47%, or 208.35 points, to reach 44,388.95. The trading session saw 34 advances, 16 declines, and no unchanged stocks. The highest point reached during the session was 44,444.90, with the lowest being 44,242.20.
The top five performing stocks in the Nifty Next 50 index were Havells, HDFC AMC, ICICI General Insurance, Cholamandalam Financial Holdings, and Canara Bank. Havells led the pack with a 2.93% increase, trading at INR 1,373.55. HDFC AMC saw a 2.09% rise to trade at INR 2,421.90, while ICICI General Insurance shares gained 1.95% to trade at INR 1,378. Cholamandalam Financial Holdings and Canara Bank also saw increases, trading at INR 1,167.65 and INR 333.65 respectively.
On the other hand, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Tata Power, Zomato, Varun Beverages, and Nykaa were the biggest losers. ICICI Prudential Life Insurance saw the largest decrease with a 3.52% drop to trade at INR 554.5. Tata Power decreased by 1.08% to INR 219.1 and Zomato saw a 1.02% drop to trade at INR 77.9. Varun Beverages and Nykaa also saw decreases, trading at INR 818.5 and INR 143.8 respectively.
