In response, Congress leader Salman Anees Soz tweeted that Allah, Jesus, Guru Nanak, Buddha and Mahavira should be included too. He was trolled for his comment, with one user cheekily asking him to “share Allah’s pic for consideration”.
Salman Anees tweeted that if Lakshmi and Ganesha can bring prosperity, then the inclusion of Allah, Jesus, and Buddha will bring even more prosperity. His remark was in response to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s appeal to have photos of the gods on currency notes.
The Congress leader was trolled for his comment, with one social media user cheekily asking him to “share Allah’s pic for consideration”.
Arvind Kejriwal had urged Prime Minister Modi to place images of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi on the currency notes, arguing that doing so would ensure that the country’s citizens are blessed in their efforts to improve the economy. In response, Congress leader Salman Anees Soz tweeted, “If Lakshmi and Ganesha can bring prosperity, then we need to include Allah, Jesus, Guru Nanak, Buddha, and Mahavira as well.”
