Threat To Mankind’s Survival: Sperm Count Is Decreasing- The research was conducted by a team of international scientists, led by Dr. Hagai Levine of the Hebrew University-Hadassah Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine in Jerusalem. The study looked at data from 43,000 men from 73 countries who provided samples between 1973 and 2011.
The findings showed that overall sperm count declined by more than 50 percent during this time period. In addition, the percentage of men with very low sperm count increased from 8 percent to 12 percent. According to the researchers, these trends are “alarming” and could have serious implications for human fertility and health.
They say that the decline in sperm count is likely due to a variety of factors, including exposure to toxic chemicals, stress, smoking, and obesity. The study’s authors say that more research is needed to understand the exact causes of the decline in sperm count and to develop interventions to prevent it. In the meantime, they urge couples who are trying to conceive to seek medical help if they have difficulty conceiving after one year of unprotected sex.
According to the study, the decrease is due to environmental toxins that affect the reproductive system. These toxins can be found in plastic containers and beauty products, and they are causing severe damage to the environment. This is a serious concern for future generations, and the scientists behind the report call for action to improve reproductive health and environments.
The study’s lead author, Dr. Hagai Levine, said that the findings are “an urgent wake-up call for researchers and health authorities around the world to investigate the causes of this continuing decline in sperm count”.
He added that if the trend continues, it could have a “major impact on fertility and human health”, as well as on the survival of our species. There are several possible explanations for why sperm counts may be declining.
One theory is that it could be due to exposure to environmental toxins, such as pesticides or chemicals in plastics. Another possibility is that changes in diet or lifestyle may be playing a role. For example, obesity has been linked to lower sperm counts. It’s also possible that there could be a genetic component
