Earthquake In Turkey: A powerful earthquake struck Turkey early Wednesday morning, injuring at least 35 people and causing buildings to collapse .The magnitude-6.1 tremor hit the northwest part of the country, about 170 kilometers (105 miles) east of Istanbul.
The shallow earthquake was strongly felt in the city, where it caused damage to buildings and other structures.
Rescue workers are on the scene searching for any people who may be trapped in the rubble. So far, 35 people have been confirmed injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment. This is a developing story and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
