Delhi Pollution: The Delhi-NCR region has seen a significant improvement in air quality in recent days, leading the Centre’s pollution panel to lift restrictions imposed under Stage 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
The move comes as a result of sustained efforts to improve air quality in the region, including measures to curb emissions from vehicles and industrial sources. With the lifting of restrictions, Delhiites can now enjoy cleaner air and better overall environmental conditions. We will continue to work hard to ensure that our city remains a livable and sustainable place for all.
The decision was taken after monitoring the air quality index (AQI) values for the past few days, which showed a sustained improvement. The AQI is likely to remain in the “moderate” range in the next few days, according to forecasts.
Under stage 3 of GRAP, which was imposed on November 1, a number of other measures were also put in place, including a ban on construction activity and a restriction on the use of diesel generators.
We would like to thank the residents of Delhi-NCR for their cooperation in following the pollution control measures over the past few weeks. We urge everyone to continue to take all necessary precautions to protect themselves from exposure to pollutants.
