Mangaluru Autorickshaw Blast Case- The National Investigation Agency has taken over the investigation into the November 19 Mangaluru auto-rickshaw blast that injured two, including the prime suspect. Officials said on Thursday.
The incident took place under the Kankanadi police station area, and in it the infamous auto driver and prime suspect Shariq were injured.
Investigators from the National Investigative Agency will look into all aspects of the case, including whether there is a larger conspiracy behind the blast. They’ll also be examining material found at the scene for clues about an explosive device.
Officials said the agency will also probe if there are any other persons involved in the case. The NIA had earlier taken over the investigation into an ISIS-related case in Karnataka in which 21 people from Kerala and Karnataka were arrested.
