IREDA, the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd., has achieved a significant milestone in the renewable energy sector. The company has disbursed a record-breaking loan amount of Rs. 16,320 crores during FY 2022-23, surpassing its previous highest annual loan disbursement of Rs. 16,071 crores in FY 2021-22.
IREDA has also set a new benchmark by sanctioning a loan amount of Rs. 32,578 crores (as of 27th March 2023), crossing its earlier highest annual loan sanction of Rs. 23,921 crores in FY 2021-22.
IREDA has been playing an active role in promoting and financing renewable energy projects across India, thus contributing towards a sustainable and clean energy future for the country. The company has been providing financial assistance at competitive rates to renewable energy projects across the country.
Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of IREDA, expressed his delight on this achievement and said, “The record-breaking loan disbursement and sanction is a reflection of our commitment towards promoting and financing renewable energy projects in India.
