Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that many workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat “secretly support” his party. Kejriwal, who is on a two-day visit to the state ahead of the Assembly elections due later this year, said that he has been receiving a lot of support from the people of Gujarat.
“I am getting a lot of support from the people of Gujarat. Many BJP workers also secretly support us. They are fed up with the wrong policies of their own government,” Kejriwal told reporters here. The AAP leader said that his party will provide “good governance” and work for the welfare of all sections of society if it is voted to power in Gujarat.
Kejriwal said at a public rally in Ahmedabad. He also claimed that the people of Gujarat were “fed up” with the BJP government and were looking for an alternative. “The people of Gujarat have made up their mind to vote against the BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections. The mood is very clear everywhere we go,” he said.
