Shiv Sena Leader Sudhir Suri’s Funeral: A funeral procession was organized for Sudhir Suri, who was killed by gunfire on Friday morning during a gathering that was taking place outside of a temple.
At a news conference, the Superintendent of Police for Amritsar, Arun Pal Singh, made the announcement that the Special Investigation Team for States, which will be led by RS Dhoke, will investigate the death of the leader of Punjab.
This transpired when leaders of the Shiv Sena organized a sit-in protest against the management of the temple in response to the finding of some shattered idols among garbage outside the temple.
Sandeep alias Sunny, the man accused of killing the Shiv Sena leader, was apprehended when the weapon that was used to kill him was discovered in his possession. After that, he was turned over to the authorities for a remand period of seven days.
His loved ones and other admirers gathered around the ambulance that was transporting his casket. In the later part of today, he will be cremated.
The cremation of Suri’s remains was approved after his family was given the assurance by the district administration that his body would be kept secure and that a job would be found for his family in the government.
After Suri was killed, many Hindu organizations staged protest marches across Punjab to voice their outrage over his slaying at a variety of different locations. They leveled the accusation of murder against the government that was in power at the time.
