New Zealand Beat India By Seven Wickets: India has lost the first game of the three-match series against New Zealand. The home side scored 309 off 47. 1 overs, with 17 balls left to spare at the end of the game.
Tom Latham remained unbeaten on 145 while Kane Williamson stuck an unbeaten 94.
India’s debutant Umran Malik took two wickets and conceded 66 runs in their innings. Meanwhile, the other debutant Shardul Thakur took one wicket with a total of one run conceded.
Earlier, India had 306 for 7 when it came to bat.
Shreyas Iyer scored 80 of 76 balls while captain Shikhar Dhawan (72) and Shubman Gill (50) made half-centuries.
For New Zealand, Lockie Ferguson took three wickets and Tim Southee took three.
