Congress Leaders “Never Cared To Follow Gandhian Values” Says PM Modi: BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today slammed Congress leaders for “never caring to follow Gandhian values”. He was speaking at a campaign rally for BJP candidates at Bavla village in poll-bound Gujarat’s Ahmedabad district.
“The Congress leaders never cared to follow Gandhian values. They only paid lip service to the Father of the Nation. But, the BJP and its leaders have always been inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts and principles,” he said.
The Prime Minister also accused the Congress of being “anti-farmer” and “anti-poor”. He said that the party had done nothing for the development of Gujarat and its people.
“The Congress is only interested in making false promises. They have never cared for the farmers or the poor. The BJP, on the other hand, has always worked for the development of Gujarat and its people,” he said.
