Delhi Court today was informed that Dinesh Arora, an accused in the Delhi liquor policy case who is also a close aide of Manish Sisodia has offered to become the government’s witness in the case and said he is ready to make “true disclosure voluntarily.
“Dinesh Arora made this offer through his lawyer during the hearing of the case. The court has allowed him to turn approver and granted him immunity from prosecution.”
This is a significant development in the case as Arora is a key figure who can provide crucial insights into how the decision to change the liquor policy was taken and executed. His testimony can help unravel the conspiracy behind the alleged irregularities in the award of licenses under the new policy.
The Delhi liquor policy case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Sisodia, who is the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, is also accused in the case. Arora’s lawyer said that his client is ready to cooperate with the investigation and make a true disclosure in the case.
