Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is forecast to win a landslide victory in the upcoming municipal corporation elections, according to a leaked internal party document.
Arvind Kejriwal’s Prediction: AAP 230 Seats, BJP 20 If accurate, the result would mark a stunning reversal for the Bharatiya Janata Party, which swept all three municipal corporations in Delhi just two years ago.
This would give them a clear majority in all three corporations – North, South and East Delhi. The BJP, on the other hand, is forecast to win less than 20 seats.
The polling to be held on December 4 and the results will be declared on December 7, 2022.
Kejriwal has also been holding a series of meetings with various stakeholders, including business leaders, traders and industry experts, to seek their suggestions on how to further improve Delhi’s development trajectory.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is BJP’s biggest competitor. The party performed well in the 2017 polls and won 49 wards with 26.23% vote share – more than the Congress which could manage only 21% votes and 31 seats.
The party is confident of its performance in the upcoming polls and is working hard to make Delhi a better place for all its residents.
