AAP Defends VVIP Treatment In Tihar Jail: The Aam Aadmi Party has defended the VVIP treatment given to Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain in Tihar jail, saying that he was unwell and required physiotherapy. Reacting to the CCTV footage that showed Mr. Jain receiving special treatment in jail, AAP said that he had been prescribed physiotherapy by doctors and that the party was not involved in any wrongdoing.
“Satyendar Jain is unwell and has been prescribed physiotherapy. The party has not done anything wrong,” AAP leader manish sisodia said. The Opposition has accused AAP of using VVIP treatment to get special favours for its leaders, but the party has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
On September 21, Jain is seen interacting with three other persons in his cell. According to sources, these visitors were not allowed by the prison authorities. In a statement, the AAP said: “Satyendar Jain was taken ill in jail and was prescribed physiotherapy by doctors. The physiotherapy was being done as per prison rules.” The party also condemned the “leak” of CCTV footage from Jain’s cell, saying it was an “invasion of privacy”.
